There was this period where the Giants were talking about unloading Tim Lincecum and it would have totally crushed me; the problem with the Rockies is that no matter how many phenomenal hitters the organization grooms (and then unloads), the pitchers just don't want to come there. And that doesn't seem right. I'll probably just copy and paste this post and swap out Arenado's name for Chapman when the time comes.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3021704198462869399.post-29810509567675487332021-02-07T20:38:54.613-07:002021-02-07T20:38:54.613-07:00I feel for ya. Trades like this always hurt, it seems like the Rockies have no real direction and it's so much harder to rebuild than it would be in another sport where high draft picks can be accumulated and make an impact faster. Hopefully the Rockies will bounce back soon, but this is a gut punch for sure.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10268829182522679026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3021704198462869399.post-76638411420622810892021-02-07T20:33:49.232-07:002021-02-07T20:33:49.232-07:00I'm right there with you man. The first he hit the very Rockies home run I saw in person. The ball was thrown back on the field and tossed to the only other guy on the third base side wearing purple. The second time is actually documented on a card., the 2016 Gypsy Queen Glove Stories insert. That play happened literally twenty feet from me. If the card was landscape instead of portrait, I would probably be on it.

But I have survived other Rockies legends being sent away for little to nothing like Burks, Bichette, Castilla, Walker, Tulo, CarGo, and now Arenado. I'm not a fan of the return, but to be honest I like it better than the return for David Dahl which was nothing. The Rox will probably be awful for the next 5 years and Bridich will be the GM the entire time because Monfort doesn't ever want to be the bad guy and fire someone. I know that, but I just refuse to quit my chosen team. If I do, I will have to quit baseball altogether and I am just not ready to do that. Although all the rule changes are pushing me toward that direction.hiflewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07128126188366882765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3021704198462869399.post-653816662393734862021-02-07T19:33:14.925-07:002021-02-07T19:33:14.925-07:00It sure seems like a brutal trade from the Rockies...It sure seems like a brutal trade from the Rockies point of view. (also from the Reds' point of view seeing as how the Cardinals got much, much better). Nachos Grandehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02911007368272468591noreply@blogger.com
